Anyone ever fished or fly fished the Cheseapeake Bay before.

gonna be up there for work and thinking of staying over to fish one day

Did a half day charter out of Chesapeake Beach a few years back and caught mostly spanish macks. It's striper season now, best time of the year.

We fished off a dock in June of 2022. Used crab parts, multiple hooks and waits. Fished in the morning and caught all the rockfish you could handle. Caught one striped bass. Also got a great glimpse of a bald eagle eating a fish.

I live in MD now but haven't spent any time fishing yet. The only thing I have to add is (for reasons I haven't figured out yet) Maryland calls striped bass "rockfish."
