TKO's Knockout Performance of the Week: Aiden Sims & Sydney Lessentine

Texas A&M baseball pulled out two wins Friday to take the series from Vanderbilt last week, while Aggie softball secured the series vs. Georgia. On TexAgs Live, we highlighted the best players from Michael Earley and Trisha Ford's clubs as our TKO Knockout Performers of the Week.

David Nuño: Handful of standouts on the diamond

  • Aiden Sims had a seven-inning shutout. He struck out eight. They hit .125 off of him. He was the SEC Pitcher of the Week. He deserved it. Nico Partida had a couple of home runs. Gavin Lyons bridged the gap several times.
     
  • We have some softball nominees like Sydney Lessentine and Kennedy Powell. Maddie Sauni went 3-for-4 with two RBIs in three pinch-hit appearances. 

Olin Buchanan: Bear Harrison & Aiden Sims

  • I don’t have any actual stats, but it sure seems like Harrison had a nice weekend against Vanderbilt. He was hitting .500. I knew he had a good series.
     
  • Then you have to mention Sims. Those two guys had a good weekend.
