Big dude.
As they say, mass moves ass.
BANG!
Mike Elko & Co. are hot on the portal trail and just made another addition with former South Carolina offensive lineman Trovon Baugh announcing his intentions to transfer to Aggieland.
Hailing from Atlanta, Baugh was formerly an Under Armour All-American at Pace Academy (GA) before starting a successful career in Columbia.
As a true freshman in 2023, Baugh appeared in 11 games, starting eight and doing a good enough job to be named Freshman All-SEC from the coaches around the league and a Freshman All-American by PFF. He also got things done off the field by being named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
Baugh’s second year saw him start 12 of the 13 games he played and earn a spot on the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll. This past year, Baugh played in 12 games, starting 11 and was a game captain for the matchups against LSU, A&M and Clemson.
This addition is a big one for Adam Cushing and the Maroon Goons as they look to replace some of the production lost from seniors out of eligibility on last year’s roster. Baugh will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Stay tuned. We will have more coming for our TexAgs Premium subscribers.

Interior line will be Bisontis, Nabou, Echols
He's a 3 year starter in the SEC, he didn't come here to be a backup to close out his career SMHsoleta27 said:TxAg76 said:soleta27 said:

I stand corrected, this writeup states that he started 12 of 13 games as a SOPH, but he actually only APPEARED in 12, mostly on special teamsdrink32 said:
Looks like he was forced into action as a freshman and then didn't play as much as a sophomore, so I wouldn't call him a 3-year starter.
Good depth if Bisontis stays. Can compete with Echols for a starting spot regardless, but the chance to start increases if Bisontis leaves.

From show dated 2 weeks ago, Locked On Gamecocks host says Baugh has a PFF of 57 run blocking and 62 pass blocking (one of the worst on the O-line in pass blocking).
Also says he graded out the best against their cupcakes but sub par against defenses of LSU, A&M, and Oklahoma, grading out with a PFF under 40 pass blocking. Said Baugh experience was valued, but average player that has not developed and will not be hard to replace.
Sounds like a development problem for Beamer. A freshman All-American that was sub par as a junior. Maybe we saw some technique issues on tape we thought could fix him. Hopefully, new coaching can get the best out of him.redjalapeno-87 said:
