Texas A&M's season has concluded in Winston-Salem.

On Friday, Steve Denton's No. 16 seed Aggies lost 4-0 to the No. 1 overall seed Wake Forest in the Sweet 16.

Despite the sweep by the ACC opponent, the contest began with evenly matched doubles play.

After Wake Forest won initially on Court 5, the duos of Theo Papamalamis/Togan Tokac and Alan Magadan/Tiago Pires continued to fight as both pairs played in a tiebreaker.

Giving up an early lead, Magadan/Pires were forced into the tiebreaker, failing to secure the doubles point and causing Court 1's match to be abandoned.

Steve Denton's Aggies ended with an 18-11 record in 2025.

Trailing on the road, the Aggies had some work to do, but the home squad would not relent.

In singles play, the hole became deeper as four out of six Aggies dropped their first set.

Damien Salvestre and Luke Casper were the only two victorious in their first set, but the Deamon Deacons dominated from there.

DK Suresh grabbed hold of the second team point of the day, defeating A&M's Magadan in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.

Four of the No. 1 overall seed's players led in Set 2 at the conclusion of the match.

After winning Set 1, Salvestre's 6-3 loss to follow allowed Court 6 to play another. Casper's play appeared promising, winning his first, but he could not finish a second before Wake Forest took care of business.

Pires worked his way back after trailing to force a tiebreaker in Set 2, yet time was not on his side.

Despite the trio's efforts in singles play to keep A&M alive, Wake Forest's Stefan Dostanic and Luciano Tacchi followed suit, gliding past Papamalamis and Tokac to end the Maroon & White's year.

During Denton's 19-year tenure, the Aggies have advanced to the Sweet 16 nine times and been an NCAA Tournament team every year, outside of 2020's pandemic-marred season.

Although the Aggies' 2025 campaign concluded in the third round, there is more to come with the freshman phenom in Papamalamis and a handful of other talented underclassmen.
