2026 Carver (GA) EDGE Tristian Givens commits to Texas A&M

Mike Elko and the Aggie coaching staff have dipped back into the Peach State to grab one of the best edge rushers in the country in 2026 Carver (GA) EDGE Tristian Givens‍.

Givens first appeared on campus for camp last June and eventually returned for the LSU game, Junior Day and the Maroon & White Game. A look at the tape shows his versatility as an athlete on both sides of the ball at receiver and rushing on the edge. His overall makeup and body type fit perfectly into being a presence off the edge with room to add muscle, and he has incredible instincts getting to the ball carrier and creating havoc.

Givens is the third player from Georgia, the second EDGE rusher and the 19th overall recruit in the 2026 class for the Aggies. This serves as a huge win for Mike Elko, Sean Spencer and Tony Jerod-Eddie going into the heart of SEC country and coming out with one of the best players in the loaded state of Georgia.

The Aggies ultimately won out over Tennessee, USC and Florida State to land Givens’ verbal commitment.

I'm assuming the big push of guys committing now, not just us but CFB wide, is to get players/payments made under the old (non-clearinghouse) NIL rules.

Another good pickup. Hard to get excited when they haven't signed and still have to watch us actually play on the field this year though.

Ags now have the #2 class only behind USC who has 11 more commits

Hopefully, Elko can put together a better than expected season and keep this class together.

You get paid a monthly stipend for your commitment now. Sure it's been a thing but it's a big deal for this 2026 class. I'm interested to see how it shakes out on signing day not just for us but everyone. That's why usc has a huge class right now.
