2026 Carthage linebacker DaQuives Beck commits to Texas A&M
The Piney Woods are always full of hard-nosed, super athletic ball players, and the Aggies hit home with one of East Texas’ finest as Carthage (TX) standout linebacker DaQuives Beck announced his commitment to Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound defender has been a violent, sideline-to-sideline presence with the ability to quickly process the action. He is known as a defensive leader, with a nose for the ball and the ability to finish with authority for an always stout Carthage Bulldog defense.
Jay Bateman led the Aggies’ recruiting efforts, and after a strong January unofficial visit, the Aggies saw the momentum kick into high gear. In the end, he opted for the Aggies over the likes of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, SMU and Arizona State, and he became the 22nd member of Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class.
As a junior in 2024, he earned Defensive MVP honors in the 4A Division II State Championship game and first-team all-district honors. He is currently ranked No. 26 in the TexAgs Texas Top 100.
