Williams reviews A&M's recent growth after South Carolina beatdown
Texas A&M is now 4-0 in conference play for the second-straight season following a dominating win over South Carolina on the road. Buzz Williams joined TexAgs Radio to discuss the Aggies' growth in January and their next test against Florida at home.
Key notes from Buzz Williams interview
- We are playing better. There is growth on both sides of the ball. We are two weeks into SEC play. I think the best thing we’ve done is play for each other.
- I think it’s happening while it’s going on. They played at a really high level regardless of category. With the thin margin that this league has become, you are studying how to improve. We are trying to understand what we need to focus on the good things we did. What do we need to carry on? My eyes have adjusted to that. We are playing our first mirror opponent. Yes, you watch our previous game, but you also watch Saturday's game.
- I think we did a good job on Colin Castleton. They play differently. They have guys that played a lot against us that are not playing now. Castleton is going to get multiple touches all over the court. They have not lost since we played them. Who we played in the first game is not who we will play in the fifth game.
- Dexter Dennis and Julius Marble had a great week last week. I think what Dennis is doing on the glass has changed our team. His presence on the offensive and defensive glass has been so good for a perimeter guy. Julius plays with a lot of confidence with the ball in his hands. They are giving him the ball in good places.
