Key notes from Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy‍ interview

  • It feels pretty good. There is definitely a lot of stress that was relieved at signing, and a lot of stuff I don’t have to worry about anymore.

  • Just going through the process, Lincoln Riley leaving Oklahoma was a shock for all of us. As stuff was going by, I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m still going to stick to Oklahoma.’ But I was going to wait and see what happens to make my decision. I know coach Lincoln left, but he wasn’t my position coach. I said if my position coach leaves, then I was going to leave. Once he said he was going to leave, I knew I was going to too.

  • I’ve always said it’s about relationships with me. It was really close with Oklahoma and Texas A&M, and it went down to the day of commitment. That’s why I chose Texas A&M. I got to know and do stuff with Jimbo Fisher. To see and know him as a person and more than just a coach was big.

  • I like that small town, big town feeling about College Station. It’s usually quiet around, but it’s crazy on game day. The love the fans give is crazy, and seeing the vibe at the stadium was one of the biggest highlights for me.

  • On the field, probably how fast I can move at my size with quick, fast hands sticks out. I took martial arts, so that helped to be twitchy with my hands. That was a big thing and being able to get off the ball too.

  • I’m looking forward to being able to show out and getting the crowd hyped. I’m ready to make a statement.

  • I’m around 6-4, 275 pounds right now.

  • When I get to Texas A&M, it’s kinda the same plan: Starting at the end of the line, being able to create mismatches on the whole line.
