2022 Chaparral (AZ) five-star DL Anthony Lucas signs with Texas A&M
Texas A&M continues to recruit at an insanely high level across the defensive line as Elijah Robinson and Terry Price have added another huge piece to the puzzle today with the signature of Scottsdale (AZ) standout Anthony Lucas.
Lucas made his announcement on ESPN2.
A star for Chaparral High School just outside of Phoenix, Lucas is A&M’s 23rd commitment overall in the class of 2022 and the fifth addition along the defensive line.
At 6-5, 275 pounds, Lucas has a similar frame and build to current Texas A&M standout DeMarvin Leal. He also flashes similar explosiveness and athleticism on tape.
Lucas shows a rare combination of power and speed coming out of his stance. He already holds the requisite size to be an every-down player in the SEC, but his body looks like it will still comfortably hold another 10-15 pounds if necessary. You can view his highlight tape below.
Considered by most to the top prospect in the state of Arizona, Lucas chooses the Aggies over Alabama, Notre Dame, Miami, Oregon and many others.
