2023 Smithson Valley OL Colton Thomasson commits to Texas A&M

The Maroon Goon momentum keeps on rolling.

Josh Henson and Jimbo Fisher have added another key piece to the future of the Aggie offensive line today with the verbal commitment of 2023 Smithson Valley OL Colton Thomasson‍.

The 6-7, 320 pounder becomes Texas A&M’s third member of the 2023 class, choosing the Aggies over scholarship offers from Texas, Oklahoma, TCU, Michigan State and Baylor.

Thomasson has been coming to camps in College Station since he was an eighth-grader, where he burst onto the scene as a name to know from just down the road based on his sheer mass. Thomasson shed a lot of weight over the course of the pandemic and transformed his body into that of an elite offensive line prospect. He followed that up by going on an impressive run of performances at various camps and college visits.

On tape, Thomasson shows the necessary hip and knee mobility to play with proper leverage. He engulfs defenders with his massive frame and wingspan, and he’s more than willing to put people on the ground. You can view his sophomore highlights below.
