Brazos Christian long snapper Levi Hancock headed to A&M as preferred walk-on

On Thursday, Jimbo Fisher & Co. received a commitment from one of the top long snappers in the country as Brazos Christian’s Levi Hancock announced via Twitter that he has accepted a preferred walk-on spot at Texas A&M.

At the end of May and following his performance at the Kohl’s Texas Showcase, Hancock received his fifth star and became the #1 long snapper in the country according to Kohl’s Kicking Camps, which is among the top services in the nation for special teams recruiting.

Hancock, a 2022 prospect, also plays quarterback and defensive end for Brazos Christian in addition to his duties as the Eagles’ long snapper. The versatile athlete currently checks in at 6-2, 230 pounds and should play a factor on the Aggies’ special teams units once he arrives on campus following his senior year of high school.

As a preferred walk-on, Hancock will not count against Texas A&M’s scholarship numbers for the class of 2022, but he will no doubt be a welcomed addition next year.

Winning in all three phases of the game is something that Jimbo Fisher and his coaching staff have put an emphasis on since their arrival in Aggieland, and as the nation’s top long snapper, Hancock should help the Maroon & White special teams significantly.
