Billy regarding your comment as to which teams you would remove from the SEC and replace, I agree that Virginia Tech would be a pretty good fit.
However, we should never want Oklahoma to come into the SEC even if they didn't bring Oklahoma State as we would lose our leverage in recruiting in the state of Texas for the SEC.

I would go a step further:

The SEC should NOT risk triggering more realignment, b/c the status quo is very favorable!

The law of unforseen consequences. Disrupting the status quo will lead others to consider desperate acts. Look what happened to the sips and Deloser Dodds.

The reality is that the B1G plays politics better than the SEC and could probably rally the other conferences together against the SEC- if they were desperate enough. Obama talked about forcing the NCAA to adopt a CFB playoff. It would not take much.
