The Athletic: Why Lebron James and Alex Caruso work so well together

February 27, 2020

Alex Caruso scooped up the loose ball after a wayward Zion Williamson drive with 7:45 left in the second quarter of Tuesday night’s 118-109 Lakers win over the New Orleans Pelicans. He immediately pushed the ball up court, crossing his dribble over twice while driving up E’Twaun Moore’s back before a familiar voice caught his attention.

“He said something to me like ‘behind me’ or ‘trailer,’ something like that, so I just trusted him,” Caruso recalled to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell after the game.
