"I've watched a lot of Aggie football over the years, and I've seen a lot of good times and a lot of not so good times at Kyle Field," Daniel said. "I've watched other coaches come in over the last 20 years and try to build something, but what I'm seeing now with Jimbo and his staff is special. We're on the verge of something really special."

Daniel said that some have chuckled about the notion of the Aggies winning the SEC this year, but said he always reminds them that LSU was 5-3 in SEC play in 2018, the year before winning it all.

"Part of the issue we need to fix in College Station is the culture and belief system," Daniel said. "I've told people for years that we need to expect to win championships around here, and that's why I decided to put my money where my mouth is for this promotion.

"I'm hoping the only people who will be laughing come December are all of our customers who are getting refund checks for their move."
