Making Moves: 2021 Denton Guyer QB Eli Stowers

This month’s biggest mover presented by D&D Moving & Storage is 2021 Texas A&M QB commit Eli Stowers‍ out of Denton Guyer. A phenomenal athlete outside the gridiron, Stowers has been showcasing his elite football talents each week so far in 2019 and looks to be a mainstay within the top 10 of our rankings from now until National Signing Day 2021. 

The 6-4, 215 pounder chose the Aggies during the summer over offers from Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Oregon, Mississippi State and a host of others. He was a kid that Jimbo Fisher targeted early on as one of “his guys” in the current junior class, and when you turn on the tape, it’s easy to see why.

Stowers is a big, strong kid with outstanding athletic traits. He’s a legit track prospect and a fantastic basketball player. As a quarterback, he has a repeatable, easy delivery with a good feel for spinning the football, and he has the ability to alter trajectory to fit balls into different windows. He’s got great pocket presence and effortless mobility. He makes consistently accurate reads in the zone-read game and knows when to bail when the pocket begins to collapse. 

So far in 2019, he’s thrown for 1,114 yards and 14 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions. He’s also added 476 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground. Eli is also highly praised off the field by his teammates and coaches for his leadership qualities and toughness in the locker room.
