Week seven's Overnight Sensation: Quartney Davis, Wide Receiver

October 15, 2018

The Aggies needed a second weapon in the passing game this weekend in Columbia and sophomore wideout Quartney Davis delivered. After his nine catch, 127 yard performance in week seven, Davis is this week's Overnight Sensation.

Olin's thoughts on Davis' performance against South Carolina

Nine catches was career high. He had that huge 30-yard catch down the sideline to jumpstart the offense, a catch he made through great coverage. If you really take a close look at it, he was making tough catches to extend drives all day long and he’s really developing into the team’s top receiver, outside of Jace Sternberger. He’s only going to get better and I think they will start going to him more.

Davis' stats against South Carolina

  • Catches: 9
  • Receiving Yards: 127
  • Receiving Touchdowns: 0

Davis' 2018 season statistics
