If you think Clemson will come to College Station unmotivated, you better think again. For this team Texas A&M is the most important game of the season, because it's the next one. There is no over looking the Aggies from this side.
The biggest strength of Clemson is depth. You have 72 different guys on the depth chart and they can all play. It won't shock me to see 60 guys play on Saturday night at Kyle Field. I think the defensive secondary would be the biggest question about this team right now.
The big thing with the defensive line is not just the starters, it's the guys that are behind them. Another great group of guys who can bring that same level of play. There is a reason, however, that the front four get so much love and that's because they're so good.
I don't think it really matters who plays quarterback for the Tigers right now, though I lean towards Kelly Bryant. I personally believe they are a better offense with Bryant at the helm because he brings more experience to the situation.
I think Dabo wants to be balanced offensively and run about 80 plays per game. I think the runnning game is key. When a Dabo team at Clemson rushes for 200 yards, they are 46-1, with the one loss being to a Jimbo Fisher team at Florida State.
I think you will see both Bryant and Lawrence play at quarterback this week. Maybe a 60/40 split leaning towards Bryant. I definitely think those first three or four series to start the game will belong to the more mature Kelly Bryant.
One thing that makes Dabo special is who he is as a human. He's the same person with the media that he is with everyone else. It's always about others, not him. He reminds me a lot of Gene Stallings, who he played for at Alabama. I feel like he's a guy who's not afraid to adapt and work with other coaches. You give me anybody and I'll stick with Dabo Swinney.
