When Dayton linebacker RJ Orebo‍ (6-7, 210) received the news of his Texas A&M offer, he had a feeling he would end up an Aggie.

“A&M is going to be really high on my list,” Orebo said. “That’s most likely where I’m going to be going to college.”

Well, he was right, and it did not take long for him to reach his decision.

“It feels great. I’ve been waiting on this since I was little,” Orebo said.

He was not the only one excited by the announcement.

“My dad got emotional and my whole family was just extremely excited for me,” Orebo said.

His commitment is the realization of a long time dream. Since he was a little kid he has fantasized about wearing the Maroon & White, and now that it is real he knows there is so much to look forward to in College Station.

“Just being able to represent A&M as a whole. Just being able to play on the field with all the great players, and be in the SEC – the only SEC school in Texas,” Orebo said.

He was recruited to Texas A&M by linebackers coach Bradley Dale Peveto. He is the eighth commitment of the Aggies’ 2019 recruiting class, and fifth defensive prospect to give his pledge.
