For the second weekend in a row, Texas A&M has dropped into Dallas for one of the state’s premier 2019 talents. Last weekend it was Brian Williams‍ of Bishop Dunne, this weekend it is Colleyville Heritage wide receiver Kameron Brown‍ who gave the Aggies his pledge.

"Jimbo Fisher and his staff went over the top with their efforts to show that they want me, and put down a great plan on they see my future," Brown said.

The 6-foot, 175-pound receiver, the son of Super Bowl MVP and former Dallas Cowboy Larry Brown, chose the Aggies out of an offer list which also included the likes of Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, UCLA, TCU, Texas, and Tennessee.

As a member of the Colleyville Heritage for the past two seasons, Brown has established himself as a playmaker on offense, defense, and special teams. In 2017, he recorded 79 receptions for 1,190 yards and a team leading 19 touchdowns on his way to all-district and all-state honors. As a sophomore he totaled a team leading 46 receptions, 758 yards and 11 TDs, and earned district sophomore co-offensive player of the year honors.

He becomes the fifth member of Texas A&M’s recruiting class and the second receiver joining Houston St. Pius X’s Chase Lane‍ . Brown is also the third Dallas-area prospect to join the Aggies 2019 recruiting class along with Williams and Coppell kicker Caden Davis‍.

"We have a great recruiting class, and we are trying to make this thing a powerhouse," Brown said.
