New Blood: A&M relying on Fisher's expertise to develop top talent

Recruiting is frequently called the “life blood” of a college football program.

If that’s true — and anyone who follows the game knows it is — then player development is the plasma.

For those needing to brush up on their hematology, plasma is the substance in blood responsible for clotting and fighting diseases.

After a plague of five monotonous football seasons, Texas A&M obviously needed a plasma infusion to stop the flow of mediocrity. Not that anyone needs a reminder, but the Aggies completed five consecutive regular seasons with eight victories or less.
