Key notes from Billy Kennedy interview

• Off the court, it’s a great experience anytime you’re around military people and see their dedication and service. They truly love what they do and enjoyed us being there on the Air Force base. They were supportive and it was good to get a win.
   
• Playing West Virginia wasn’t easy and it was a tough week of practice. They play like no other team in the country. They pressed and trapped in the full court and we had a lot of new guys handle the ball. I was concerned about the beginning of the game more than anything. Once we settled in, our older guys came and we were able to move the ball and make some shots.
   
• Because they missed the exhibition game, Admon and DJ hadn't played with them in real action in a while. I went with the young guys early because they’ve done some good things in practice. When the older guys came in, they gave us a spark and were ready to lead the team.
   
• Tyler’s confidence on and off the court has grown. He’s really taking care of his body with his nutrition. He has really grown up a lot. Rob is also growing up a lot and addressed his mistakes and trying to be better. We’re excited to get him back on the court.
   
• JJ is a true point guard and can get people shots. He’s such a good passer and can get in the lane. He’s going to make things easier on our other guys. The hardest thing for us right now is our consistency because we don’t know who to play because we have the guys in practice but they can’t play come game time. That’s why I think our best basketball will come later when we have entire team.
   
• It was a good get, we got a versatile perimeter player in Antwann Jones. He has good size and athleticism and has the ability to score. He’s going to continue to get better and play high level basketball. From here, we're most likely going to ride it out and see what’s going to happen in the spring on the recruiting front.
