Texas A&M grabbed a commitment from Richland High School linebacker DaShaun White today. White had been a priority target for the Aggies since January.

The Aggies have been high on White's list throughout the recruiting process. In fact, he took three trips to Texas A&M this summer with his most recent a surprise visit in late July. Oklahoma made a big push at the end, but the efforts of Texas A&M defensive coordinator John Chavis and defensive line coach Terry Price proved to be too much to overcome.

White is 6-2 and 220 pounds and has a great frame to add weight. He has plus speed, and his athleticism allows him to makes plays from sideline to sideline.

White is the second linebacker to join Texas A&M's 2018 fold after Manvel speedster Brian Johnson committed in June. He chose the Aggies over other finalists Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and UCLA, and is currently ranked No. 44 in the TexAgs 2018 Texas Top 118.

We'll have more soon for TexAgs Premium members.
