Taking the Reins: Aggies enter spring camp in search of new starters

The most important of Kevin Sumlin’s six springs as Texas A&M football coach began Wednesday with a nearly full roster and a glut of uncertainty. Even Sumlin acknowledged the importance of this spring as the Aggies hope to get out of the rut of eight-win seasons and fourth-place finishes (or worse) in the Southeastern Conference West Division.

“There is a sense of urgency for guys to win jobs,” Sumlin said after the first of 15 spring practice sessions.
