Texas A&M came back from a big deficit but could not come all the
way back as a late rally came up short in an 81-77 college basketball
loss to No. 18 West Virginia on Saturday in Morgantown, W.V.
The Aggies, who trailed by 16 points at halftime, pulled within two points, 79-77, on a J.C. Hampton three-pointer with 12.5 seconds left.
However, West Virginia’s Esa Ahmad, a marginal free throw shooter, converted twice at the foul line with 4.
