Kolt De La Torre

I made my way to Denton Ryan earlier this week and while the state champion Raiders lose some key pieces they are once again loaded with talent. Let's start at the top Texas A&M targets.You guys know the names well. In 2022 it is DT and Georgia commit Bear Alexander. Since his Georgia commitment we have said the Aggies would continue to pursue and that is indeed the case. As we have been saying this is one to continue to watch as the process plays out. Then in 2023 there is all-everything LB Anthony Hill. He keeps in close contact with coach Santucci and he has been very positive when speaking of the Aggies, his relationship with the coaches, and the defense. He also looks up to Buddy Johnson. He currently has a top three of Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas and he has plans to take his visits in June. The Aggies have seemed to be on the periphery of this one for one reason or another throughout and it is easy for me to project him elsewhere.Next man upThe Aggies are already involved with 2023 LB Anthony Hill and the Ryan 2023 class has some guys who are primed to take some big steps on the recruiting scene.RB Kalib Hicks (2023) - At 6-foot, 200, Hicks is the highest profile of the 2023 class. He played a big role in Ryan's championship run rushing for 838 yards on 117 carries while sharing the workload with his older brother Ke'ori Hicks. He has size, but he also brings a great blend of vision, balance, and speed to the table. Colorado and San Diego State have already offered.OC Kolt De La Torre (2023) - The 6-foot-2, 280-pound standout was a mainstay in the trenches for the Raiders. He is violent and he is smart. Football is in his blood too. His father, Aaron De La Torre, is now the Defensive Coordinator at Ryan and he played at Stephen F. Austin as well as the NFL. His older brother, Alex De La Torre, played at Texas and is also on staff at Ryan. De La Torre is strong and stout and just getting started. https://twitter.com/CoachDayLa/status/1380000024071974915?s=20WR Jordyn Bailey (2023) - With Billy Bowman at OU, Ryan is in need of a quick strike, game breaker with speed and Bailey is the odds-on favorite to step into that roll. He is only 5-9, 160-pounds but he showed he could be a versatile threat last fall on his way to 31 receptions for 510 yards and 7 TDs. He is the Raiders leading returning receiver and he has a strong rapport with QB Khalon Davis. Colorado has already offered.QB Khalon Davis (2023) - Seth Henigan is now at Memphis, and it is time for Khalon Davis to shine. The 6-foot, 175-pound standout has shown well in the opportunities he has received, and this is his chance to make a big jump into the spotlight. He can put some zip on the ball and throws with accuracy and touch. He has P5 ability. DL Tre Bates (2024) - The 6-2, 230-pound prospect is generating quite a bit of buzz around Ryan, and when the Raiders talk about violent defenders I listen because that defense is one of the most aggressive in the state. He did not play varsity ball last year, but look for him to make his presence felt in a big way in 2021. He could play inside or outside with his size, power, and quickness.A sleeperLook no further than 2022 Michael Gee. He is a deep sleeper because of his size (6-foot, 220) and position (DL). However, his tape is as fun as any tape you will see. He is also working at LB and could play a number of positions for the Ryan defense.
