-Little Elm CB and Oklahoma commit Ryan Watts enters the season with three more official visits and Ohio State and Penn State look like they will get two of them. The Aggies remain in the mix and a visit is not out of the question. He plans to be at Oklahoma as often as possible this fall, so the Sooners are not going anywhere either. Alabama is another program coming on strong. He's my off the radar/sleeper guy I think has a chance to make the biggest jump during the season. He's a big framed prospect who moves well and plays with an edge. He moved in from California in the offseason and already holds offers from LSU, Colorado, and Vanderbilt and I could see him being a guy who moves up the wish list for several in-state programs. He will play both sides of the ball for the Eagles but it sounds like TE is his future.-The defensive lineman I think has a chance to make the biggest move early in the fall is DeSoto 2021 DT Byron Murphy II. Every camp he attended this spring and summer he was an MVP or a standout. He has the quickness to play 3-tech and the strength to play nose. He is also a high academic, high motor and work ethic kind of guy. He attended A&M's camp this summer and he was a standout. There have been questions about his height and weight, but he now checks in at around 6-1, 275 and he is as quick as ever. I predict he is going to cause major problems for opposing offenses and fill up the state sheet.-Staying in Argyle Sheridan Wilson is quickly becoming one of my favorite 2022 OLs in the state. He checks in at about 6-4, 250-pounds and he has added about 20 pounds since I saw him in the spring. His footwork and technique are very advanced and he should play a big role for Argyle this fall. This spring he earned MVP honors at a camp which also included fellow 2022 standout Kelvin Banks. At 6-5, 200-pounds, he is a special athlete with zero varsity tape, but he already holds offers from Kansas, Baylor, and Georgia Tech. https://twitter.com/Jason_Howell/status/1162202814065627136?s=20-Kimball 2021 RB Brandon Epton will also turn some heads this fall. He has DISD talking already, and he picked up an offer from Houston despite being relegated to JV action in 2018 due to transfer rules. -I finally got to see Denison 2022 RB JD Price in person and it does not take long to figure out what the fuss is all about. He's not the biggest, but his vision, balance, burst and attitude are major pluses. I was told he is the hardest working kid in the Denison program and he never misses school or practice. In fact, he's only been late, by about 5 min, and both times he called to let coaches know. He holds a 3.5 gpa, and he gets it done on the field. Last fall he rushed for over 1400 yards and 16 TDs. UTSA was the first to offer, Texas quickly followed and Arkansas joined right after. He now also has offers from Ohio State and USC. At 6-4, 300, he plays h-back for Denison, but he is headed for a spot in the trenches as a recruit. He is a little out of shape, but as he re-shapes his body, he brings plenty of intrigue to the table. Summer has been eventful on the recruiting front, and Jason Howell has the latest ranking updates from prospects all across the state in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 high school classes.

It's been a bit of a busy day. This morning I stopped by John Tyler to see recent offer Kitan Crawford. Check out the video interview if you haven't already. He's making plans to take an unofficial visit Texas A&M in late May-early June. He said he has an official visit to Texas June 28, but I am hearing it is June 21. I've been told by sources it looks like the Longhorns hold the edge right now, but Texas A&M is coming on strong. Look for a summer time decision, but it sounds like the Aggies have a legitimate shot at closing the gap.I closed the day in Longview where I caught up with coach John King and his son Haynes King. They're about to have a pretty busy summer. They plan to take an unofficial visit to Texas A&M at the end of May/early June to meet coach Fisher and check out the program. Then they plan to take an unofficial visit to Ole Miss (the Rebels had a couple of coaches on hand today) and they are working out the details on summer time official visits to Auburn and Tennessee. Haynes plans to make a preseason decision. We will see what happens here but I am told they are well aware of Jimbo Fisher's success developing QBs. The Aggies are also keeping an eye on Longview 2020 DT Sawyer Goram-Welch. He has added offers from Purdue and Memphis to a list which includes Texas Tech, Illinois, SMU, Louisiana Tech, Tulane and others. At 6-foot-4, 280-pounds he is attracting looks on both sides of trenches, and I hear the Aggies could take an interest on the offensive side of the ball.In between John Tyler and Longview, I went out to Texarkana to see Pleasant Grove 2021 DLs Landon Jackson and Marcus Burris. There is a lot of talk about them playing together on the next level, if they both find the right fit at the same place, and both plan to return to College Station this summer.Frisco Reedy 2020 OL Nathan Anderson announced his pledge to Oklahoma. His decision comes on the heels of a recent visit to Norman and an offer from the Sooners. Anderson is noted for his ties to Texas A&M, and the Aggies have taken a hard look. The Aggies were planning to get out to Frisco this week and those plans remain unchanged. We will see what happens after that, but it doesn't sound like his pledge to Oklahoma has changed or deterred the Aggies course of action. The Aggies were in Dallas today checking out some rising talents at Dallas Kimball. Standout 2021 CB Ishmael Ibraheem has received some offers from LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Georgia in recent weeks and the Aggies are taking a strong interest. It also sounds like coaches took a good look at 2021 RB Brandon Epton. He did not play varsity last fall but people in DFW have been buzzing about his ability this spring. Kimball is also home to 6-foot-5, 190-pound 2022 WR Kyron Henderson, who added Baylor to his Kansas and Illinois State offers.
