Post bye week recruiting rundown
The Texas A&M coaching staff scoured the state and country last week. Let's see if I can get a list of all the targets/commits that were seen by Jimbo Fisher and company. 2019 commitsDylan Wright Zach Calzada Baylor Cupp RJ Orebo Braedon Mowry Andre White Tarian Lee Erick Young Bobby Wolfe Kameron Brown Christian Harris Kenyon Jackson Adarious Jones Josh Ellison Kenyon Green Isaiah Spiller Brian Williams Demani Richardson Caden Davis 2019 non commitsMarcus Banks Ainias Smith Jalen Wydermyer David Ugwoegbu Derick Hunter Marcus Stripling Javonne Shepherd Andrew Coker 2020 commitsDemond Demas Josh Bankhead Jordan Jefferson 2020 non commits Chris Thompson Darius Snow Nehki Meredith Jaylen Garth Damieon George Zach Evans Chad Lindberg Jaquelin Roy Malik Hornsby Devon Achane Troy Omeire Devin Price Brian Darby Nate Floyd Donald Warnell Kenneth Phillips Phillip Webb Jase McClellan Seth McGowan Dwight McGlothern Ja'Quinden JacksonLorando Johnson Joseph Wilson Vernon Broughton Alfred Collins 2021'sVince Sheffield Tunmise Adeleye Corey Burt Hayden Conner Bryce Foster Jalen Milroe -I am aware that Ugwoegbu did not play on Saturday against Katy High. From what I know, it was a one game suspension for a minor infraction of team policy. David is back in good standing with his team and has not affected A&M's pursuit of him. -I'll echo what Jason said late last week: if I had to guess today, I suspect Wolfe signs elsewhere. -Don't he surprised to see some new offers go out in the next couple of weeks after the coaches hit so many schools and got to see a lot of HS film.-Derrick Hunter mentioned making a return trip to College Station, and it now sounds like that will for sure take place in January. That's pretty big news. -A new name to watch in 2020 is safety Vito Tisdale out of Bowling Green (KY). The 6-1, 190 pounder holds offers from Oklahoma, Alabama, Louisville, and Georgia Tech.
Aggies "set the bar" for 2020 Virginia safety Nehki Meredith
2020 Virginia Beach (Va.) safety Nehki Meredith had heard a lot about Texas A&M from teammate and Aggie pledge Adarious Jones but wanted to check things out for himself, making a visit to College Station over the weekend. Jason Howell speaks with Meredith about his trip.
July 27th expected visitors
We'll keep this stickied throughout the week to make additions and subtractions, but this is what we've got for expected visitors into town this weekend. Remember, this is something that has just kind of grown out of a few guys saying they wanted to come and hang out before the season got started. This didn't spawn from any staff initiative from what I know. Kicking off the week with a few Monday morning notes
-Brooklyn (NY) Canarsie DE Adisa Isaac named a top 10 and the Aggies made the cut along with Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Boston College, Michigan, and Nebraska. He took an official to Texas A&M in the spring and he has stayed in touch with coach Price. He does not have any plans to return to College Station at this time and if he does it will be on his own dime since he took his official in the spring. He is currently working to schedule an official visit to LSU. -I heard from a source in Florida that South Carolina appears to be the Aggies main competition for Largo (FL) DT Jaquaze Sorrells. He plans to announce on August 27, and it sounds like the Aggies are in the mix.-Virginia Beach (VA) Bishop Sullivan 2020 S Nehki Meredith will be in Texas this week and he plans to visit Texas A&M and TCU before he leaves the state. He said he plans to stop by College Station on July 26, and TCU after that. He was offered by the Aggies in the spring and he is a teammate of current Texas A&M commit Adarious Jones. He also holds offers from Virginia Tech, Louisville, Maryland, Tennessee, Nebraska, Penn State, and TCU.-Texas A&M offered 2020 LB Phillip Webb last week. He's a 6-4, 210-pound linebacker with offers from Maryland, Michigan State, Purdue, Virginia, and Wake Forest. He is also a teammate of Texas A&M QB commitment Zach Calzada at Buford (GA) Lanier, and Calzada has already been in his ear about how amazing things are in College Station. He has gotten to know coach Linguist and coach Peveto, and he looks forward to building a relationship with the A&M coaching staff. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/8108879/59ef3591d21c6310b865079c-Galena Park North Shore will have a nice presence in College Station this weekend. 2020s Corey Flagg (LB), Joseph Wilson (CB), and Damieon George (OL) all plan to visit Texas A&M this weekend. I know you guys will ask about Zach Evans, so here goes. It does not sound like he will visit with this group, but that doesn't mean he will not make it to town this weekend. We'll continue to work on info on Evans.-Keep an eye on Mansfield Timberview 2020 CB Jalen Kimber (6-foot, 170). He's planning to visit this weekend and he has been heating up the camp circuit. He has length, is quick in transition, and pure speed (he's been clocked in the low 4.4s this summer). He has been in communication with coach Graham and significant interest has been expressed. The Aggies are not the only ones expressing a lot of interest. It sounds like he could see a few offers over the next few weeks.https://twitter.com/Jason_Howell/status/1020704300828422145
