A few quick notes from a couple of Wednesday stops
I stopped by Lakeview Centennial today planning to see 2021 RB Camar Wheaton. He was not there, he got a root canal today, so I'm guessing my day was better than his. However, I did see a few interesting prospects. One I will be watching is 2022 DE AJ Barton. He checks in at 6-4, 215 and his father, Andre Barton, Sr., played defensive tackle at Ferris State in Michigan so he has some bloodlines. He is also a baseball guy, so he will likely be one of Brauny's favorites. He is still very raw but the length and frame definitely caught my attention. Coaches also talked about his character which is always a good thing in my book, and he has impressed during offseason workouts. https://twitter.com/Jason_Howell/status/1131325077356720128Lakeview Centennial's 2021 class also includes a couple of big boys in the trenches. DT Ike Iwunnah (6-2, 250) and OG Rickey Smallwood (6-5, 280) both have a chance to catch the attention of coaches. The next stop was to Bishop Dunne for the Falcon's spring game. I was mainly focused on the underclassmen Jordan Crook (LB) and Landon Hullaby (ATH). Both have received offers from Kansas, Illinois State, Georgia Tech, and USC and today there were coaches in attendance from Texas, Iowa, Tulsa, Oregon, and Wyoming to check out them and other talents.Crook really turned my head over the course of the spring game. He was quick to sift through traffic and he came off the edge with some heat. The most impressive thing was his motor. He was always on the go as you can see below.https://twitter.com/Jason_Howell/status/1131339472770146304Hullaby, who has played RB/CB/S for Bishop Dunne and is the little brother of Texas commit Jaden Hullaby , made an immediate impression as he came crashing down from his safety spot to plant a WR in open field and cause a fumble. It was text book. I got to see him play a little CB as well. Very good size, especially for a young guy. Both are guys the Aggies are keeping an eye on right now. ***********Also a few top school lists for you guys just in case you missed themNorcross (GA) Greater Atlanta Christian 2020 LB Choe Bryant-Strother https://twitter.com/ChoeBryant/status/1131243494331289603New Orleans (LA) Warren Easton 2020 OL Sedrick Van Pran https://twitter.com/LXIII_NOVA/status/1131259061972930561Watson (LA) Live Oak 2020 DT Jalen Lee https://twitter.com/jalenlee__/status/1130515735887978496
