The Southeastern Conference schools had 11 of the top 25 recruiting classes according to both ESPN and 247 recruiting services. In comparison to the other top 25 recruiting classes according to these recruiting services: the B1G had 5 teams, the Pac-12 had 4 teams, the ACC had 2 teams, the BDF had 2 teams, and Notre Dame was the only independent team.

I love being in the SEC!!!

Technically, that isn't by conference... that is just the Top 25 and non-Top25 SEC schools.

At least add a 2nd Conference:

BXII-2-2+2 (24/7)
3. Sips - (10-4; 2nd)
6. Sooners - (12-2; 1st)
33. TCU - (7-6; T5th)
35. Baylor (7-6; T5th)
37. Okie State (7-6; 9th)
46. Iowa State (8-5; T3rd)
47. West Va (8-4; T3rd) <- New Coach
61. K-State (5-7; T7th)<- New Coach
64. Kansas (3-9; 10th) <- New Coach
67. Tech (5-7; T7th)<- New Coach

I think K-State and KU will be improved over last season, with their new coaches, but it is still going to be another weak season in the BXII.

Big 12 is going to be very bad next year.

It will be interesting.

I posted this a couple weeks ago, regarding the QB situation in the BXII.

Quote:

2019:
OU: Jalen Hurts, transfer from Alabama <- They will be good.
Sips: Ehlinger, returning starter. <- They should have a good record if Ehlinger makes it through LSU and OU
Iowa State: Purdy, returning starter. <- Likely finish ranked.
Tech: Bowman, returning starter. New HC
Baylor: Brewer, returning QB
W Va: Kendall, transfer from OU. New HC
Okie State: New QB, likely Sanders, RS from last year
K-State: Likely returning QB, Thompson, but new HC.
TCU: New QB. likely Delton, transfer from K-State.
Kansas: New QB. likely Stanley, backup from 2018. New HC

Two of the three ranked teams from 2018 will have a new QB, who will be an experienced transfer.

At best, BXII will likely finish with one team (OU) in the Top 10. One in the 10-15 range, and then two in 20-25 range.

OU will likely be ok, with Hurts, Mordecai and the incoming 5Star.
Sips were able to keep Casey Thompson, so Ehlinger getting injured may not devastate them. However, there will be lots of new schemes and QBs.

Why do people constantly equate current recruiting success with next seasons results?

It doesn't work that way.

If you want to project next season's results, look back at the recruiting classes 3 and 4 years ago, those are the guys that make out most team's two deep roster.

When it comes to recruiting, there will be red shirts, hits and misses, if you have to rely on freshmen there is a good chance you will not be going to a bowl game.
