There are so many certifications for accounting major it makes ones head swim.

CPA (which I am one), CMA, all manner of sub-certifications, plus:

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and Fundamental Payroll Certificate (FPC)
  • Accredited Business Accountant
  • Accredited Financial Examiner (AFE)
  • Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA)
  • Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP)
  • Certified Bookkeeper (CB)

  • Certified Forensic Accountant (Cr. FA)
  • Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA)

  • I bet there are more.

    • My oldest twin boy is about to pass the last part of the CPA exam. They wanted all but his DNA before he could take it and if they asked for it later, it wouldn't surprise me.

    Guess they do not want a serial killer passing the exam if they can help it.

    The joke was about the redundancy, not the relative intelligence of the respective students.

    Parenthetically, neither are exceptionally bright these days. Schools ain't what they used to be.
