CVS will ask for insurance information when making the appointment, but of my family that has gone, they haven't asked for the card when you show up. They say to bring it with ID, but didn't ask for the card and they didn't ask for ID either every time. It seems like as long as you check in via the text link, that's all they really need

It worked that way for my mom, but they made my dad meet with the pharmacist about his insurance before his vaccine. It was very weird. Thankfully I was with them and able to troubleshoot.

I've signed up 14 people other than myself for the shots and each time have selected "no insurance" when registering. As far as I know, none of them have had any issues when they showed for their shots.
