Seems there was talk early on of using IV NAC to help reduce inflammation in hospitalized Covid patients. Haven't seen much about it. Does anyone know of any clinical trials or studies on this? One of my biggest regrets is not pushing for our facility to design a study on this a few months ago. I probably could've pushed to have it done. Now we have a new research coordinator who I don't know very well.

Med cram released a video yesterday about a very small study, about 10 patients, where it seemed to have a significant effect on CRP and ferritin levels. The effect in that study was demonstrated in that when they were started on the drip, CRP and ferritin levels tanked, and when the drip was discontinued they spiked again (although smaller spikes).

Has anyone been using this? If so, any success?
