This reminds me, I need to dig up pictures of my great-grandfather who was a train engineer in the Chattanooga area before moving to West Texas to farm. I have a pic of him with his train!

Absolutely had a Big Chief tablet. I seem to recall a fat pencil that went with them too

Yep the pencil that was too big for the sharpener and had to be whittled to get it sharpened again.

They wouldn't let me work with the reading resource assistant. Apparently you could only do that if you couldn't read at or above grade level…

But they had some tracked reading gizmo that I would put at max rate and read to the teacher in second grade!!!

Personally, I think it is terrible, mostly because I can taste/smell the peanut butter and I don't like peanut butter. But lots of other people really like it.

These sandals were actually started in Texas...
a couple of children in Houston, Texas, invented them while helping their father with a sailboat project by attaching foam to their feet with stethoscope tubing. The name "Tiddies" came later, and the sandals are now handcrafted in the USA by a small family business Tiddies Shack.
