We will keep an eye on it but not going to watch with much enthusiasm at this point. Too beat down from regular season and now A&M softball put the final nails in our softball/baseball season.

Time to focus on the kids and having some summer fun fishing at the beach this coming weekend! Sure as hell beats anything A&M Athletics.

If they pull a miracle, I will be literally shocked. The fanatic hope has been lost.....as are all our original plans to be in Omaha for the start of our summer vacation.

Simply had enough A&M sports for awhile. Cannot say the time investment has been worth it. But we will just do it again, like every year, come football season in Sept.

What I don't understand is why don't they just seed everybody 1-16 and just do single elimination

The top 6 seeds are pretty much safely regional hosts anyways so who cares if they go out in the first round

I think this protects the top seeds a little more so I'm ok with the byes; I think they should reduce the number of teams.

Too many games to fit in the calendar, and too hard on pitching for the top teams (don't want to screw up their rotation for a conference tournament that doesn't mean a whole lot).

It's the same number of games with either format. 15 total bc 15 teams get eliminated. So scheduling is the same. Yes, it does keep the top teams only playing 3 games max instead of 4 if they make it to the champ game.

It's set up like it is to make it harder for lower seeded teams to win which I'm fine with bc it puts more importance on the regular season.

Unless throwing on short rest, the first round bye teams aren't throwing their ace either.

Agree. I've not seen this format in any other sport. They have 16 team, the perfect number for a clean bracket.

My guess is that the idea is to save the top teams pitching so that they are better set up for the regionals.

Same format that was used in softball. No one complained at that time. Go figure.

I'm fine with this set up. Places importance on the regular season.

Yeah sure, trying to move the goal posts. Some Aggie fans are able to follow multiple sports and I'm sure, you did not follow softball at all this season. "Rolls Eyes!"

If we were the 2 seed in baseball. No one would be complaining.

I think softball is b@stardized baseball, and I can't stand it. I had an aunt who played semi-pro baseball in New Orleans in the 1940s. I think it's awful girls/women can't play baseball any more.

No, I've never seen an A&M softball game. Last softball game I watched would have been when I was playing for Law Hall back in the day, and there was usually a good deal of beer involved before those games.

To get where I think A&M should be in baseball, this years bracket format is fine. So maybe I have higher expectations for A&M baseball than those wanting a bracket that would benefit us if our program was consistently mediocre.

So if a girl is in Little League, hits puberty, and wants to keep playing baseball, where can she do it? What are the options for a high school age girl who wants to play baseball? Did not anticipate that stating girls/women can't play baseball would generate laughter.

Mizzou surrendered 182 walks in 30 conferences games. That's nearly 6.1 walks per game, and they played in a fair number of seven inning games.

No score in game 1 after one inning of play.

Nice catch saves at least 2 runs. Mizzou down to final chance to get that 4th SEC win but pops up.
