I said it earlier but it bears repeating…but don't look now but you-know-who from right down the road is positioning themselves very well to be the 2-seed in College Station.

I forget that UGA (12-11) and Carolina (12-11) play next week, so both of them reaching 16-14 is not a given

Clemson has probably worked its way up to the #2 or #3 overall seed

North Carolina possibly into the top 5 now

they are the co-leaders in the ACC

Correct. But it's a very good indicator.

A top 5 RPI team is going to be a national seed.

Well mostly. DBU was near the top of RPI in '15 or '16 ane while they hosted they were not a Natty Seed.

If they win the Pac, they will be considered for hosting despite a poor RPI. If they do end up winning the league but getting sent on the road, I suspect it would be as the 2 at Santa Barbara. I don't think they would send the Pac champion to a SEC team hosting as a top 5 seed when there is a West Coast regional available that they could be sent to.
