Did Tulane really make a regional with 19-40 record? That is pretty unimpressive……but I hope they give lsu fits.

They did. Had a terrible season then came out of nowhere and won their conference tournament.

I mean, we did too, right? 50/50 we get left out of the NCAA tourney if not for the nonsensical post season conference tourneys where we got hot.

To be completely transparent I hate conference post-season tourneys. They only serve to reward teams that shouldn't be rewarded for their full season body of work.

CFP added back in top six conferences. So it could be the member institutions not the NCAA administration / bureaucracy doing it with their voting power.

Oregon State is winning this regional by the way

LSU is 5-7 in their last 12 SEC games (8-7 in the month of May), they aren't playing well at all going into regional play

I wouldn't be surprised either if LSU doesn't make it out of their regional. After Skenes their second pitcher is a coin flip for good or bad days and they don't have a great option for a third starter.

I think LSU will do fine though they have both Oregon State and Sam Houston ready to pounce. They should have enough hitting to offset their pitching weaknesses.

Tulane beat UH (my cousin plays for UH so I follow and attend) on the first round of the tournament, putting UH into the losers bracket. UH had an Aggie similar run and beat Tulane on Saturday and lost to Tulane Saturday night.

Tulane won again on Sunday and earned the spot.

UH left out of the tournament.

If the AAC had the same format as the SEC, the UH win on Saturday would have bounced Tulane out of the finals and the NCAA.

Just announced today that 2 of OSU's weekend starting pitchers are out this weekend. Don't be shocked when Sam Houston beats them Friday.

I'm going to have to go redo my D1 bracket now. I had OSU coming out of that regional based on pitching.

I thought the game vs. Sam a toss-up even before their pitching injuries. The Sunday/Monday games in this regional could have a lot of offense

Oregon State pitching has been inconsistent this year and they got bounced early in the Pac-12 tourney. That being said their bats have been incredibly hot lately. I like them a lot in this regional.

Tulane got hot at the tournament. Wonder if there can be a rising of knocking LSU to losers bracket on Tuesday. One can hope.

Same. I really wasn't going to be surprised when LSU didn't make it out of that regional, despite their lauded lineup.
