Rick isn't/wasn't in charge of that, I'm pretty sure it's someone at 12MP that makes the call on who wins the sausage race.
Fwiw, there's a number of individuals within Athletics that aren't fond of some people and posters at/on TexAgs. The Beefy shutout was basically because the person making the call was doing it just to piss off/frustrate certain people on TexAgs.

What a silly way to take revenge, lol. Especially since I'm pretty sure it frustrated no one and we all had a lot of fun with it. Those ones at the end that had suspicious things happening like Athing Mu winning? Gold.

Did Rick take over for DD Grubbs? If so, that's a pretty good run for those two. Those guys basically invented how baseball public address announcing is done today. They don't get nearly enough credit for it.

He shared duties for a season or two before taking over full time.
