Move the game out of Hoover next year.
There is usually game delayed and occasionally postponed because of weather but this is the first time something like this has happened where multiple days of rain in a row.AustinAg2012 said:
Same damn thing every year in Hoover. Suck it, Saban.
I'm not joking. This is not a new problem for Hoover.annie88 said:powerbelly said:
Hoover continues to be a terrible venue for the SEC tournament.
I don't really think it's a stadiums or city's fault that the weather is bad.
And I know you're joking but hopefully will get it in tomorrow.
Sure I will, you just don't like the choices.jkag89 said:
To this extent it is. You're not going to find a venue that is in the SEC footprint where rain will not be an issue at times.
I never said we should host itannie88 said:HoustonAg2106 said:It's not the city's fault, but it is the fault of the people who pick a city that rain every year around this time. This is not new for the SEC tournament.annie88 said:powerbelly said:

It poured here in BCS last night.
An outdoor venue with a seating capacity more in line with the event is way better than the two indoor options by far even with weather being an annoyance or even problematic as it is this year.powerbelly said:Sure I will, you just don't like the choices.jkag89 said:

Everything about Hoover sucks. Let's move this thing around, give all the states in the SEC a chance to host.
I don't disagree but most of out conference mates seem to have little problem with Hoover. In other words, there needs to be a strong reason to overcome the inertia of keeping it at Hoover. Maybe the weather this weekend will force the issue but it is unlikely the powers that be in the SEC will go for a rotation of venues for the event.Gigemrunrs said:

MLB is worried about the condition of the field after a 16 game tournament is played on it over 6 days not during it.aggiefan09 said:
How much of an impact is it really though? Probably worse playing multiple games on a rain soaked field.
don't worry the Horns will get the sec to change it to Dell Diamond. Don't worry, it's a neutral siteCaesar4 said:
Maybe move the tournament to College Station for next & subsequent years.
Yep and as much as I hate the format, it might be time to go to a pod format the ACC uses.W said:
and another thing...
there's a fundamental problem with an outdoor tournament attempting to play 4 games in 1 day...
on back-to-back-to-back days

in all fairness...once OU & t.u. join the league...some of the neutral site conference events should move westward
Lot of rain up in Oklahoma also this week. The old SEC schools are not going to agree to a venue at the extreme western edge of its footprint. They may accept it as part of a rotation but I have seen no indication in which most of the league is willing to do this or even try it.Cow Pie & Fries said:
With OU coming in , I wouldn't complain about going back to Bricktowm
We raised a few trophies there
Exactly, if sippie is for it, I'm agin it. You folks do remember why the BDF fell apart so quickly, right?Bullpen Chias said:W said:

Rest of SEC when sips and sooners come in and start suggesting conference events be moved to Texas and Oklahoma:
