There's that 9-team scheduling problem rearing its ugly head. It was so weird when Ross Stripling threw his no-hitter against DBU on a Saturday in mid-May.

I guess Stave v. USC is the maruqee matchup up this weekend. Vandy and UT really need sweeps to keep up with Arkansas.

the Ole Miss Rebels are in town.

since A&M joined the SEC, the Rebels have been the #2 nemesis for the maroon-n-white (behind Arkansas).

and when just considering the past 5 years...Ole Miss is probably #1 having won the past 3 series in 2017, 2018, and 2019 (sweep); and beaten A&M twice in the SEC tournament.

the Ags and Childress are just 9-14 vs. Ole Miss since 2013...and that record does not include the painful 2012 regional loss at Blue Bell.

if the Childress era comes to an end in a few weeks...Ole Miss will be one of the major reasons why

it puts the Ags at 27-23 and 7-17 in the league.

wish the team had played like that against Alabama and Missouri. Might still have regional hopes

Bama and Missouri series is what will keep us out of the running unless we make a big run in Hoover
Add in the Abilene Christian and Rice losses.

An at large bid? No. If we swept Auburn and LSU, we'd be 13-17 in the SEC, with an unimpressive out of conference record to boot.

Our only shot would be to win the SEC tournament and get the automatic bid.
