We (this board) mostly agreed we'd discuss it after the season concluded... Well here we are?

I got 300 something hour ban for suggesting we need a new third base coach in a game thread during the MJ era.
But he failed to make it to 40 wins for the first time.Wicked Good Ag said:

Would you come coach here if we fired RC this year? I wouldn't.
Depends on what they'd pay me.CharlieBrown17 said:

Someone would take the job, maybe even someone that has the makings of a great coach. What I doubt we'll see is any of the names bandied about here wanting to leave their current jobs unless the money was absolutely outrageous. I simply do not see that for a sport that at best turns a slight profit.CharlieBrown17 said:

so there it is. The Childress and MJ eras have converged.
MJ with 2 trips to Omaha in his first 15 seasons.

Pulling cumulative stats from this season is going to be fun too. For example, Lacy was on pace for 146 so which would've been a career high. Do we just treat it like the whole team got injured when we look back on this?

I can get someone to play me at some variety of video game baseball if you want to run the pbp thread
That's probably what we should do. Every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, someone should bump a play-by-play thread from a past game (a win, needless to say). Or, you could recreate it in real time, if you are really bored.Chrundle the Great said:

Even though I'm sure it's not something Bjork wants to do, I think a 1 year extension probably makes sense. Otherwise, that's death on the recruiting trail. If he's not going to extend him, then he needs to cut him loose. While I think he was prepared to do that if we didn't produce this season, it would be really strange to cut him loose now.threeanout said:
I think his contract has one more year left on it.....thru the '21 season. With no extension and therefore being a lame duck coach, it doesn't bode very well on the recruiting front.
Going to be interesting to see what happens in regards to recruiting, as I guess most players will not have to forfeit a year of eligibility. However, guessing Deloach is gone, and looks like the pitching staff could get decimated if Lacy, Roa, Miller, and even Joz go pro.
