My almost three year old is still going, and now she's watching with me. She pointed to my beer and asked what it was. I told her and let her have a "sip" where she basically got to taste the drop on the lip of the can.
She recoiled, said "I don't like it" and walked away. She came back 20 seconds later, asked for more, got another "sip", recoiled, gritted her teeth and said "that's goooood"
At least it was better than when she tried my cold brew coffee, black, took a sip, and then tried to rip the cup out of my hands.

When Liam was maybe a year old, we were out camping. He was sitting on my husbands lap and kept sticking his hand in his drink and then his mouth (without my husband noticing). Turns out he drank quite a bit of whiskey and coke that way. Oops. We let him "sip" when he asks, and its alway hit or miss on his reaction.
But the kid LOVES coffee. To the extent that I will order him a small decaf when I get a cup so.he wont drink my caffeinated coffee
