No, they don't pay for host team travel. That's on UCSB. They are the ones bidding to host in Vegas. If LSU doesn't host, I think they send the Tigers there to make the Vegas regional a financial success.

Supposedly, they are getting lights this summer, so it may not be an issue going forward (not sure if they have a tarp, and while they don't have enough seats, you can always bring in temporary seating).

how can they not have lights? My kid 7 years ago played at some local garbage softball field and it had lights.

There are still P5 football teams that don't have lights. I remember when Pat Olsen Field opened it did not have lights.

There is no way this team should host. It"s not the stadium rather they have not played anyone with the SOS of 89.

It is actually pretty common on the west coast for baseball fields to not have lights.
