Looks like the 2 Thursday game were cancelled with no makeup or resumption. The Nebraska game in progress was too early to be official and we were threatening in the top of the 4th with none out. So those two games disappear off of the schedule.

2 games today for us and 1 on Saturday. 2 of the 3 opponents are ranked.

Headed to the 7th down 5-4 to Arizona St. We had the tying run thrown out at the plate in the bottom of the 6th.

Arizona St. wins 5-4. McBride was great in relief throwing 4 scoreless innings after Potts gave up 5 earned runs in 3 innings.

At 1-1 on the weekend, our final game of the tournament is tomorrow at 11 am against #17 Oregon.

Potts getting off to a slow start this season .Hope she finds her groove soon.

Potts' walks and a couple Aggie base running miscues during the Arizona State game were the deciding factors.

The Aggies lead #17 Oregon 4-2 after 2 innings. Abby Smith had a 3 run, 2 out pinch hit HR to get us started.

We need to figure out how to get her bat in the lineup more often. On the season in 8 at bats, she is hitting .500 with 2 HR and 6 RBI.

Final score: Oregon 7 - TAMU - 5. The 4 errors committed by the Aggies were costly.

We had our chances. This didn't go as bad as I thought it would, though. Plenty to learn from, imo.

Duck's softball luck is running pretty thin with only a few players returning after last several year's coach (Mike White) defected to tu for more $$$,$$$ taking several players with him and causing the majority of the others to transfer to other teams. Ducks have only one decent pitcher other than Maddie MacGrandle, an A&M transfer who has struggled at Oregon....

Did Peyton throw the 7th or did they go to the bullpen in 7th? The way it looks now it's going to be Point or Potts/ relieved by Peyton or vice-versa

To me the key play in the 6th was when on a comebacker Payton threw to third for a tag out rather than get the force out at first. Only 1 run should have scored that inning. In the bottom of the sixth with runners on first and second with no out, Jo had Martinez sacrifice after she had homered earlier. Potts relieved McBride in the 6th.

Yep. Told my daughter right then it was a huge mistake. 1st & 3rd with one out, tying run at the plate versus runner on 3rd and 2 outs, tying run on deck. I even thought we should have taken the out and given up the run on the Ducks' first and 3rd play. We would have led by 2 with 2 out and none on. We needed 5 outs.

Fielding and pitching shortcomings have cost the team some victories. Hope the team grows and becomes tougher before the start of SEC play.
