Unfortunately A&M won't get any credit for beating a bad to average team. We have front row seats to the eyeball test in seeing how good this A&M team can be, but until we beat some decent to good teams the rankings won't accurately reflect A&M's spot.

The real ratings will be who gets to Omaha.

The Shriner's College Classic just got a little easier:

UConn, without its ace, takes two of three from Louisville. Doesn't get ranked. Louisville stays in the top 10.

The real ratings will come during SEC play. That'll get them to where they can qualify to go to Omaha. With five potentially reliable pitchers, this team may be built for that run. Fordham was not a cupcake opponent. 35-19 last year, playing in the conference that produced upstart Davidson a few years ago. Still, the voters will pay little attention to our sweep. We need to play with the big names from the Power 5 Conferences.

Exactly. Fordham is a solid low 100s RPI sweep. This wasn't the usual opening weekend pounding of the 200 RPI Browns and Yales.

That was Tucker Cascadden who graduated last year. That walk-off was his only home run in D1 baseball.

Why am I not surprised that was his only HR

and of course the guy that gave up the home run...is poised to make the Astros opening day roster after less than 2 years in the minors.
