4th Inning Fill-In
In an effort to create the most fun and intimidating atmosphere in college baseball, we want you to be aware that Blue Bell Park will be practicing "4th Inning Fill-In" again this season.
Following the 3rd inning of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday games, any individuals with purchased tickets may fill in unused seats located in non-club seating areas for the remainder of the game unless the seat holder arrives to claim their seat.

I bet they can. And there's likely nothing (short of throwing a hissy fit) you can do about it. But I doubt anyone would sit between you and your friends.kevmiller said:Aggie09Derek said:Quote:

" unused seats??
Psssht.... I have 6 seats and if I have a couple empties... nope you can't come sit in them.

I purchased tickets in reserved seats last year to many games. I cant count how many times I would get up to how to the restroom or get a drink or the playground, and come back and someone took our seats, and then refused to leave because they were empty after the 4th.
You have ticket, seat fill inner has to move.Quote:

But she knows about this policy. So either get the ushers or don't leave you seat.trouble said:
She shouldn't have to get an usher though. I think that's her point. She came back to her seats and people refused to move when SHE asked.
There are a lot of things that should happen, but don't.trouble said:
And those who move down should quickly get up and move when the ticket holder returns.

I would never, ever call BS on another Ag. But this is close. If it happened (multiple times?), it's such an easy fix: Show them your tickets. Or better yet, get the usher and have it resolved.

Correct. Ushers will gladly remove someone filling in if they took an occupied seat. Period.

If you've paid for a ticket, it definitely detracts from the experience to return to your seat, find it filled, go back to the tunnel, find an usher, bring them back to your seat... Especially if you have a small child in tow.
I don't think anyone here is claiming that people are refusing even with ushers to leave seats. Just that its an inconvenience to regularly have to get "the authorities" in order to sit in the seat you paid for.
Nope. Ushers are there the entire game.OnlyForNow said:
Probably allows the ushers to go home after the 4th inning, thus saving costs.

This. I'm not a fan of the fill in, but if they are going to do it, the folks filling in have to understand that the minute someone shows them a ticket for the seat they "fill in," they are moving. If the ushers have to get involved, then these folks need to be escorted out of the park. Either that, or don't do it at all.Quote:
If an usher has to remove a fill in fan because they wouldn't move, the fill in fan should be ejected from the stadium.
They wouldn't get up!?!? Those weren't very good Ags. Plus, there's something called being polite and decent forget "policy". I'd ask nicely once, then not sure I'd even get an usher as I'd explain their options at that point. One shouldn't even have to "get an usher" for seats they have purchased. These idiots should "fill in" elsewhere and they should understand that. Glad they changed the policy. It wasn't intended to be an "after 4 th inning free-for-all" but a way for fans to enjoy seats that were going to be empty for the entire game. That's crazy you had to put up with that.histag10 said:

Agree.dermdoc said:
The fill in rule is a horrible idea.
As a father of a toddler, not sure if I might explain to the squaters that they can have the seats, but they must sit with my 3 year old. "Here's his snacks, he's almost potty trained but here are his diapers, and he will need one of your phones to watch his you tube kids videos, that is if you actually want to see some of the game. Good luck!"histag10 said:75AG said:

Yes, but that's an inconvenience to me, and I end up missing part of the game to remedy the situation. I bought ticke for s for reserved seats so I didn't have to worry about someone taking my seat if I got up to take my toddler to the restroom.
