Already a big fan of the newly transferred third baseman. Nicknames usually need to be organic and this may be already happening, but a cool nickname would be "The Duke" due to his last name. Then, his walk-up could be something John Wayne related. Would love to hear something like "Take it easy, Pilgrim!" every time he steps up to the plate.

Replace "usually" with "always", and you could have just left it at that and saved all the other typing.
