Does anyone know how many kids can redshirt at a time ? Looks like we will have a few go that route.

Things are really starting to get interesting with Helman . Kind of surprised he has still not signed . Would be awesome if he was back next season .

I heard this week that Landon Miner told Childress he's hanging them up. Hasn't gone public apparently but that's from a pretty good source.

Tough on Minor. I thought this year would be his shot. Either as the set up man or the actual closer

Minor was scheduled to play summer ball with the Savannah Bananas but never showed up on the roster. But then neither did Wingate.

Ty Coleman will be in the middle of the battle for open infield spots.

Hunter Watson will battle for 3rd. Coaches have been waiting a long time for them to get to campus.

Always tough in the SEC but we will be fine and in the thick of it with a very talented roster and coaches.

His twitter account no longer says any thing about Texas A&M. He's in a blue uniform and ETX may stand for East Texas. He may not have been asked to return.

It was really odd timing . Cam announced he was leaving ( probably to get playing time at a JUCO ) ...... then shortly after, Bedford hangs the spikes up . I don't know if he would have stayed if Bedford's announcement had come a few weeks earlier , but you never know.

Started off really slow at Brazos Valley but his bat has really come alive of late

Do people think Haller is any good? I saw him catch in a scrimmage and he was awful. A lot of people I've talked to said he's not very good at the plate either.

I really liked Chris and his ability to make contact at the plate . The only saving grace is that we have Frizell and Coleman to split time between DH and 1B .

If Hoerner can be our everyday catcher that allows us to keep Coleman at 1B for the weekends and catch during midweek ( or Walters ) ..... and let's us play Frizell at DH on weekends and work in at 1B during midweek games .

Not ideal to lose a bat like Andritsos , but will probably give Frizell many more AB's in the long run .

Heard that Jackson Reynolds left school within 24 hours of getting there.

I think Childress is going to be forced to see what some of these young freshman can do on the mound .... early in the season. There is plenty of talent with this freshman class ..... just need to throw them out there and see who will sink and who will swim.

This program, given its local, support and $$, should be doing much greater things IMO.
