Conlon makes zero sense to me that he is going to the Cape the summer of his freshman year. Unless RC likes the pitching coach there and thinks he might get him to throw more strikes.

Dox might not go if he keeps piling on innings. He doesn't need to go to be a very high draft pick next year, but it would be a great experience.

Montgomery Smith 6'0" 200# Junior pitcher listed as from College Station and Texas A&M.

Never heard of Montgomery Smith and can't seem to find any info online for him anywhere regardless of school affiliation.

On an unrelated note, I was looking at the California Collegiate League, no Aggies this year, but Texas Tech is sending 14 players there this summer.

Seems like ours tend to go to the Alaska league, Cape Cod league, or a few other places. I don't recall many of ours in the past going to a West Coast (non-AK) league. Am I not remembering correctly?

We've had a handful every couple of years head out to the San Luis Obispo Blues, but I think Bedford was the last one to go (maybe he stayed in College Station that summer instead, can't remember).

Of the few other places, the Northwoods League has been pretty popular the last 8 or so years for Aggies.

We usually have a good pitcher or two in Alaska with the Matsu Miners. I assume they have to pay their cost to get there and back ??

Northwoods League ... so much cooler than the Texas League. And much better attendance.

I've heard Asa Lacy is going to Alaska.

Still no roster available for Matsu Miners.

Bryce Blaum is playing shortstop for the LaCrosse Loggers of tne Northwoods League. In the first 2 games, he is 3 for 6 with a home run, 3 walks and a stolen base.

Yep and Cam Haller has already played 3 positions for Brazos Valleyu .... catcher, center fielder and left fielder. May have something to do with the full squad not there yet.
