great work in Starkville as the Ags push their conference win total to 11.

probably just need 5 more over the next 3 weekends to host
If we get 5 in the next 3 series we will have earned the right to host. Just really accentuates how bad/damaging those two losses were last weekend...

that has crossed my mind. They could really use it now...win or lose

It is amazing how tightly bunched other than Florida at the top and Bama and Tennessee at the bottom it is the SEC is this year. I'm sure the Ags are kicking themselves for dropping last weekend's series to the Vols.

The sips crapped the bed this weekend against West Virginia, losing the series all but hands the regular season BDF title to Okie State.

Does tech deserve a Natty Seed if they finish several games back in BDF to a team that at best squeeks in as a regional host?

TCU bounces back nicely, they're not dead yet but like the Ags are kicking themselves for last weekend. Kind of glad the Frogs took the series from the tards.

looking at Warren Nolan...it appears the Frogs (22-18) will settle in around RPI #67 after this weekend.

and despite beating Tech twice, TCU still has a terrible 4-13 record vs. the top 50.

next weekend TCU hosts #223 Lamar for 3 games.

still a long way to go to for an at-large bid

5 more conference wins sounds like a steep hill to climb. I can see four. Five? Very tough.

it's a very unusual situation this year. These 3 SEC teams are in the top 16 RPI with conference records near .500:

#6 Auburn...10-11 conference record
#11 A&M...11-10
#13 Kentucky...10-10

would not seem fair to a regional host to have a #2 seed so highly rated in RPI

Fair or not I would rather host these teams than play them at their place, especially Ags who would have a decided home field advantage at Olsen.
