Huge E8 after a single. Aggies score 3 on the little league homerun to take a 3-1 lead.

Smith is consistently missing high with her FB and it has gotten her in trouble with walks. But her change up down and away is killer.

Two things I love about this game so far.

The fight. The team didn't get down on themselves while struggling at the plate.

Lexi Smith. She had a rough start to the third inning. But came back and got three outs with the bases loaded to limit the damage and keep it a one run game. She has also stuck out All-American DJ Sanders three times.

Smith strikes out the first batter. 1 out.

My thoughts. Our bats are still struggling with 7 Ks and 1-2 hard hit balls.

Smith was Smith. It's hard to say she didn't pitch great when she held the number 5 team to no earned runs, but she still struggles with the walks. If she were able to eliminate those, she could be a dominant pitcher

BTW. I hate these games on Flo. Last night the audio and video continuously cut out. Today it was much better. I'm not sure why espn doesn't cover the Mary Nutter as it's one of the premier tournaments in collegiate softball.

I don't know this for fact... But I wonder if Mary Nutter doesn't want TV coverage. No way they could run this many games on five fields with this many teams if they were all televised. It slows the game down so much.

Next up today is #19 Cal. They are 11-0 and currently lead North Carolina 4-3 in the 7th inning.

You'd think they would want to sell broadcast rights for a certain few games.

All games are televised on flo softball.

Being on Flo is very different from a scheduling standpoint. They don't have TV time outs. It doesn't mess with the pace of the game. Totally different than ESPN

Flo owns the rights to all the games at Mary Nutter. ESPN is there conducting interviews and taking pics + video of certain players + head coaches of each of the teams there. They use these clips at various times during the season when televised by ESPN family networks.
